Dr. Krausz began his career studying computer science and working at IBM before deciding to change paths and focus on medicine. After completing his MD at the University of Western Ontario, he moved to Vancouver, BC where he completed his residency in Family Medicine at St. Paul’s Hospital with the University of British Columbia.

During his time in Vancouver, he practiced full time at the Mariners’ Medical Clinic, servicing a large proportion of the merchant marine population in the city. He has experience in all aspects of marine medical care and has worked with large cruise lines and shipping companies, including Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Holland America lines, as well as seabus and BC ferries. He also co-managed medical assessments for BC Hydro, Lufthansa, West Coast Express and a variety of other large organizations, including several insurance companies.

In 2014, Dr. Krausz returned to his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, where, in addition to a small family practice, he started Mariners Medical Clinic Toronto.

Dr. Krausz is certified as a designated Marine Medical Examiner for Transport Canada and is available for Marine Medical examinations. He is a clinical associate professor at both the University of Toronto and University of British Columbia and is affiliated with North York General Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital.
