MARINE MEDICALS
As a designated Transport Canada Marine Medical Examiner, Dr. Krausz provides same or next day appointments for the MME. We would also be more than happy to provide scheduled on-site medical examinations for multiple employees at your location anywhere in Ontario or BC. Please contact us for more information or scheduling.
The medical typically takes about 30 minutes to complete and involves obtaining a medical history, a physical examination, including both colour vision testing and hearing testing, as well as a simple urine test for diabetes and other kidney issues.
Our costs are competitive and we offer a discount for current students studying towards any Marine training certification.
In order to prepare for your medical, please bring the following:
- Your CDN Number. We require this to submit your form. For information on obtaining a CDN, click here. The application form can be downloaded here.
- Photo identification such as a driver’s license or passport.
- A previous Marine Medical certificate if you have one, including any restrictions you may have had in the past.
- A list of any medications you are taking.

Once the medical has been successfully completed, you will be provided with a provisional medical certificate. The final certificate will be issued by Transport Canada once approved.
